Key Responsibilities
Technical Delivery & Design:
- Drive electrical and controls concept design, including FDS, SRS, Network Topology, and Device Layout.
- Lead complex Software Design and Configuration deliverables across a varied stack: PLC, HMI, SCADA, Robotics, Drives, and BMS.
- Execute the full project lifecycle: from Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to Commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Maintain ownership of the Technical Construction File.
Leadership & Safety:
- Functional Safety Champion: Take full ownership of the Functional Safety lifecycle within your projects.
- Mentorship: Supervise, motivate, and mentor a team of bright engineers (graduates, apprentices, and juniors), ensuring technical excellence.
- Project Control: Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure delivery is on time, on budget, and technically robust, actively managing technical risks and changes.
About You
We are looking for an engineer with a “hands-on” attitude who enjoys complex problem-solving.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar Control Systems / Automation role.
- Education: BEng / BSE / Level 6 Apprenticeship in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Technical Mindset: Excellent understanding of electrical control systems with a confident, organized approach to engineering challenges.
- Soft Skills: A strong communicator who can lead a team and work autonomously when required.
